Authorities Release New Video Of Charlie Kirk Shooting Suspect, Reveal Distinctive Clues

OREM, UTAH — At a press briefing on Friday, officials shared more information about the investigation into the shooting death of Charlie Kirk. On September 10, the 31-year-old founder of Turning Point USA was shot and died while at a speaking event at Utah Valley University. The briefing supplied the public with a new video of the suspect and specific evidence to aid in his identification.

Beau Mason, the head of the Utah Department of Public Safety, talked about what the suspect did in the video. The video shows the guy lying down in the top left corner of a building, which is probably where a sniper would hide. Then he goes to the far-right corner, runs behind a building, climbs over the side, and falls to the earth below.

The inquiry that is still going on has found important forensic evidence. Mason said that the suspect left both a shoe print and palm prints. Authorities are also trying to get DNA evidence from the smudges left at the scene. They found out that the suspect was wearing all-black clothes, including black jeans and a black t-shirt, and Converse tennis shoes.

Mason also pointed out a unique t-shirt with an eagle and an American flag on it, as well as a baseball cap with a triangle on it. He stressed that these are all important details that could assist people figure out who the person is. After jumping from the building, the suspect walked through a grassy area and into a wooded area, where police were able to find the weapon they think was used in the attack.

Officials said they decided to provide this information to be open and to get the public’s support in the search for the man. The FBI has said again that it will pay $100,000 for information that leads to the suspect’s capture. Officials said that the public has been very helpful, and the amount of digital media alerts is the highest they have seen since the Boston Marathon bombing. The killer is still being searched for, and the suspect’s name is still unknown.
