Atishi And Manish Sisodia Hold Roadshow Ahead Of Nomination, Emphasize ‘Politics Of Work’

New Delhi [India], January 13: Delhi Chief Minister and AAP candidate Atishi held a roadshow on Monday in preparation for filing her nomination for the upcoming Delhi Assembly Elections. Former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia accompanied her during the event.

Speaking to ANI, Atishi emphasized that the enthusiasm displayed by the people was a result of the work done by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

“I have started my nomination rally today, and people from all corners of Kalkaji have come out to support me because they know the work done by AAP. This enthusiasm reflects the politics of work, unlike the BJP, which only focuses on abuse, while AAP seeks votes based on its achievements,” Atishi stated.

Atishi is contesting against BJP’s Ramesh Bidhuri and Congress’ Alka Lamba for the Kalkaji seat.

Manish Sisodia, also an AAP candidate, expressed his support for Atishi, calling her like a younger sister. “The last five years have been full of challenges, and I wish her success in the upcoming term,” he said. Sisodia, who is contesting from the Jangpura seat against BJP’s Tarvinder Singh Marwah and Congress’ Farhan Suri, also highlighted that education is a key concern for Delhi residents.

“In our campaign, many people have told us that their children are studying in government schools. We have worked sincerely for Delhi, and I am happy to share that I have raised Rs 40 lakh from over 350 donors across Delhi and the nation to contest from Jangpura. I urge people to support Atishi similarly,” he added.

The Delhi Assembly elections will take place in a single phase on February 5, with vote counting scheduled for February 8.
