Rajya Sabha MP Ashok Mittal Joins Global Anti-Terror Delegation Following Operation Sindoor

Jalandhar (Punjab) [India]: Rajya Sabha MP Ashok Kumar Mittal has expressed gratitude to the Central government for including him in a seven-member all-party delegation tasked with visiting strategic partner nations to reinforce India’s global message of zero tolerance towards terrorism.

“I want to thank the Central government for including me in this mission. Seven delegates are going across the world with the aim of ‘One Mission, One Message and One Nation’. We want to give a message that India is against every type of terrorism in the world. India will keep leading this fight against terrorism,” Mittal told ANI.

Representing the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Mittal will travel to Spain, Greece, Slovenia, Latvia, and Russia. In a post on X, he expressed pride in serving as part of the global diplomatic effort.

“Honoured to represent India in the All-Party Delegation visiting Russia, Spain, Greece, Slovenia and Latvia to uphold our united stand against cross-border terrorism post #OperationSindoor. Proud to serve & represent. Jai Hind!”

The diplomatic initiative comes in the wake of Operation Sindoor, launched by India on May 7, in response to the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22, which claimed 26 lives. India’s retaliatory precision strikes in Pakistan and PoJK reportedly killed over 100 terrorists, underscoring the country’s robust counterterrorism stance.

Speaking on the broader intent of the mission, RJD leader Manoj Jha emphasized the unity of purpose across party lines when representing India internationally.

“The Centre and the Opposition have relevance only in domestic politics. When you go abroad, you become the voice of India. This delegation will execute this mandate. We have to ensure through this delegation that if a country is our friend, whom we have supported in difficult times, then it should support us too.”

The All-Party Delegation is expected to visit other key nations as well, including the United States, United Kingdom, UAE, South Africa, and Japan, to amplify India’s position against cross-border terrorism and strengthen global cooperation.

The initiative reflects a rare bipartisan alignment and aims to promote India’s “One Nation, One Voice” message in the international arena, amid increasing threats and global concern over terrorism.
