Shah Rukh Khan’s son, Aryan Khan, has been in the news following the success of his debut series, The Bds of Bollywood*, which was released on Netflix on September 18, 2025.
The series, which is a satirical take on the Hindi film industry, has been generally well-received by fans and critics, garnering 3.5 stars in one review and debuting at number 4 worldwide on Netflix’s global non-English charts in its first week.
Amid the positive reception, Reddit users noticed that Aryan Khan changed his Instagram display picture (DP) to a photo of his own face—a significant change, as his profile picture had reportedly been blank or a simple black background for a long time, dating back to a period after a legal issue in 2021.
This change was interpreted by fans on Reddit as a sign that the success of his debut directorial project, which he also co-wrote and co-created, has given him the confidence to step back into the public eye. One fan specifically noted: “He was obviously shattered and wanted to prove himself and now he is back with his profile pic after success of his first OTT release.”
