Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s son, Aryan Khan, made his directorial debut this year with the critically acclaimed web series, The Ba*ds of Bollywood. The show, a bold and exaggerated satire offering an insight into the film industry, has become a major talking point, thanks to its fresh take and strong performances.
Actor Sahher Bambba, who played the memorable role of the ‘nepo baby’ Karishma Talvar (daughter of Bobby Deol’s onscreen character and the love interest of Lakshya’s character), recently shared her experience working with the debut director and recalled fun, candid moments with the superstar father, Shah Rukh Khan, behind the scenes.
Aryan Khan: Calm, Funny, and a Master of Mimicry
In a recent interview with IANS at a fashion event, Sahher Bambba candidly spoke about the personality and working style of her director, Aryan Khan. Despite his often-reserved public image, Sahher revealed a completely different side of the young filmmaker.
“He’s very calm, yet extremely funny and mischievous,” Sahher shared. “He brings a lot of fun to the set.”
The biggest reveal from the actress was Aryan’s unexpected, lesser-known talent. “Not many people know that Aryan is excellent at mimicry — give him any character, and he will replicate it perfectly,” she disclosed. Given the numerous fun behind-the-scenes videos that emerged during the show’s production, netizens are now eagerly hoping for a video showcasing Aryan’s mimicry skills.
Cherishing Time with Shah Rukh Khan
Sahher also recounted her special memories with producer and superstar Shah Rukh Khan while working on the web series, which was produced by his banner, Red Chillies Entertainment.
“Every moment I spent with Shah Rukh sir was special,” she recalled. The most unforgettable memory involved a party at his iconic home, Mannat. “I particularly remember partying at his house, dancing together to his songs Chaiyya Chaiyya and Chammak Challo — those are memories I will always cherish,” Sahher said.
Sahher Bambba’s successful stint as Karishma Talvar in The Ba*ds of Bollywood comes after her 2019 acting debut in the romantic drama Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas, which also marked the debut of Karan Deol, son of actor Sunny Deol.
