Army Commanders’ Conference Begins In New Delhi, Focus On Key Policy Decisions

New Delhi [India], April 1: The Army Commanders’ Conference commenced in New Delhi on April 1 and will continue until April 4, serving as a critical institutional platform for high-level deliberations on security and policy decisions within the Indian Army.

According to an official release, the conference will enable senior Army leadership to assess the overall security landscape and determine key operational priorities to address evolving challenges. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is set to chair a session and deliver a keynote address during the event.

The conference agenda includes a presentation on the Indian Army’s initiatives under the Year of Reforms. Additionally, Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan will address senior leadership, and the CEO of NITI Aayog will discuss India’s strategic vision and the military’s role in building a Saksham & Sashakt Bharat.

In line with the Indian Army’s commitment to becoming an agile, adaptive, and technologically advanced force, senior officers will engage with experts to refine decision-making strategies and implement new methodologies.

Other key areas of discussion include improving organizational efficiency, enhancing field operations to bolster resilience and responsiveness, and addressing welfare measures to improve the quality of life for soldiers and their families.
