The musical, conceptualized by visionary Dhanraj Nathwani, made its debut in Delhi on Friday. The opening night saw the presence of stars Shahid Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar. Kapoor shared his thoughts on the show, praising its inspirational essence. “It’s a fantastic experience to watch it in Delhi. The show is all about the qualities we grew up idolizing, and they are presented in such a beautiful way. Krishna’s teachings and characteristics, including his playful nature, are brought to life powerfully,” Kapoor remarked. He emphasized the emotional resonance of the performance, adding, “We can’t really talk about it in technical terms, but it’s the feeling that matters.”
Rajadhiraj: Love. Life. Leela is a tribute to the life and teachings of Lord Krishna, with a soul-stirring portrayal of his divine grace. The musical’s stunning narrative is penned by renowned screenwriter Prasoon Joshi, while Shruti Sharma, a seasoned director in musical theatre, helms the production. The show is creatively produced by Parthiv Gohil and Viral Rachh, with in-depth research by National Award-winning writer Raam Mori.
With over 1,800 custom costumes designed by celebrated costume designer Neeta Lulla, the show brings mythical characters to life in a visually spectacular manner. A team of 180 artists adds to the magic with their captivating performances. The 20 original soundtracks, composed by Sachin-Jigar, merge Western symphonic elements with Indian classical music, enhancing the show’s grandeur.
