New Delhi [India], April 25: Singer Arijit Singh has announced the cancellation of his upcoming Chennai concert scheduled for April 27, as a mark of respect and solidarity with the victims of the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.

The tragic April 22 attack at Baisaran meadow in Pahalgam left 25 Indian nationals and one Nepali citizen dead, with several others seriously injured. In response, Arijit Singh shared an update via his Instagram Stories, amplifying a note from the event organisers.
“In light of the recent and tragic events, the organisers, along with the artist, have collectively made the decision to cancel the upcoming show… as a mark of respect to the victims and their families,” the statement read.
Organisers also confirmed that full ticket refunds will be automatically processed to buyers’ original mode of payment.
The incident has drawn widespread condemnation across India. Prominent Bollywood personalities including Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan, Alia Bhatt, Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, and Kareena Kapoor have expressed their grief and condolences.
Additionally, music composer Anirudh Ravichander postponed ticket sales for his Hukum Tour in Bengaluru, echoing the somber national mood.
