Actor and television personality Archana Puran Singh recently revealed that she and her family fell victim to an online ticketing scam while vacationing in Dubai. The incident was shared through her latest YouTube vlog, where she regularly posts travel and family content.
Archana, accompanied by her husband Parmeet Sethi and sons Aaryamann and Ayushmaan, recounted how they had booked slots for an indoor skydiving experience at iFly Dubai. However, upon reaching the venue, they were informed that no reservation existed under their name.
“We had booked three slots in iFly Dubai, but this lady is saying that we have no booking. We have been scammed because the website where we made the payment is not theirs. We have already paid and the tickets are not cheap,” Archana shared in her vlog. “Dubai mein hamare paise doob gaye (We lost our money in Dubai). I never expected this to happen in Dubai, where the laws are so strict.”
Parmeet Sethi, visibly shocked, added:
“Thousands of rupees are gone… What if this too turns out to be a scam?” he joked, reacting to the situation with disbelief.
Aaryamann, her elder son, revealed that he had a moment of doubt during the booking process. He noticed that the ride time changed from 4 minutes to 2 minutes on a redirected page but did not investigate further, assuming it was a genuine portal.
Despite the setback, the family maintained a light-hearted tone throughout the vlog. The experience serves as a reminder for travelers to double-check website authenticity before making online bookings, even in countries known for their strict regulations.
On the work front, Archana Puran Singh was last seen in the web series Nadaaniyan, reprising her iconic role as Mrs. Braganza Malhotra. She continues to appear as a regular guest on The Great Indian Kapil Show.
