Mumbai, India— Actors Archana Puran Singh and Parmeet Sethi are well-known for their fun YouTube vlogs, where they show off their great chemistry and humorous banter. But their marriage has also been through a lot of tough times over the past 30 years. Parmeet talked about a time when their relationship was “deeply difficult” in a recent touching session with their son Aryamann Sethi on his YouTube channel.
Parmeet’s emotional breakthrough through the Art of Living
Parmeet said that their marriage problems had gotten so bad that they were “fighting a lot.” This made Archana strongly advise that he join the Art of Living course. Parmeet went to the course in Bangalore even though he didn’t want to at first.
“After the course, all the things that had been bottled up inside me came out,” Parmeet said. He talked about a deep emotional release, like grieving a lot for his sister, who had died earlier. “I cried until I was satisfied,” he said. He was on a rigorous diet at the time, but as he was meditating, he vividly pictured himself “eating rich food.” After this life-changing event, he said that all of his “physical problems were gone.”
A Love Story of Archana and Parmeet That Will Last
Their love story is proof of how strong they are. Archana Puran Singh had already been through a divorce and was not sure if she wanted to get married again. But her point of view changed after she met Parmeet at a party. Even though they were seven years apart in age, they rapidly grew closer.
They took the unusual decision to live together for four years before running away and being married in secret in 1992. At first, they kept their marriage a secret because they were worried about how it may affect Archana’s growing acting career.
Parmeet’s parents were worried about their marriage at first, mostly since Archana was older and worked in a field that was not very common for women. But in the end, they did accept her into the family with open arms. Archana and Parmeet have been blissfully married for more than 30 years since their private ceremony. They are raising their two boys, Aaryamann and Ayushmaan, together.
