Renowned singer Anuradha Paudwal, accompanied by Kavita Paudwal, visited Ayodhya to seek the blessings of Ram Lalla and perform ‘Raag Seva’ during the Pratishtha Dwadashi celebrations at the Ram Mandir.
Speaking on the occasion, Anuradha Paudwal expressed her devotion, saying, “It is Ram Lalla’s blessings that we get the opportunity to serve here again and again.”
Earlier in the day, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath performed puja and offered prayers at the temple to mark the first anniversary of its ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony, which commemorates the consecration of the temple. The original ceremony took place on January 22, 2024, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The first anniversary was celebrated on January 11, 2025, based on the Hindu calendar.
The celebrations coincide with the Maha Kumbh, a grand religious event held every 12 years. The ongoing Maha Kumbh at Prayagraj is expected to draw over 45 crore devotees to the Sangam, the sacred confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the now-extinct Saraswati rivers.
Speaking about the Maha Kumbh, Anuradha Paudwal said, “India is empowered due to Sanatana… My greetings to everyone for the Maha Kumbh. CM Yogi takes a personal interest, which makes it possible.”
The Maha Kumbh will conclude on February 26, with key bathing rituals (Shahi Snan) scheduled on:
- January 14 (Makar Sankranti)
- January 29 (Mauni Amavasya)
- February 3 (Basant Panchami)
Devotees from across the globe are expected to take a holy dip at the Sangam during these auspicious days, as part of the age-old tradition to cleanse their sins and seek divine blessings.
