Cannes [France], May 16 : Veteran actor Anupam Kher graced the red carpet at the 78th Cannes Film Festival, turning heads with his classic black tuxedo and bow tie as he attended film screenings ahead of the world premiere of his directorial project, Tanvi The Great.

Kher’s upcoming film Tanvi The Great, his second venture as a director, is set to premiere at Cannes on May 17. The film, produced under Anupam Kher Studios in association with NFDC, features an ensemble cast and explores compelling narratives of ambition and perseverance.
In a behind-the-scenes video posted from Cannes, Kher introduced the film’s co-writers Abhishek Dixit and Ankur Suman, expressing appreciation for their contribution. “Here, our film Tanvi The Great is going to have its world premiere on the 17th… Let me introduce you to two other writers of this film,” he said while greeting them on camera.
Kher also shared a separate series of pictures in a formal suit alongside Shubhangi Dutt, the film’s debutant lead who plays Tanvi. He wrote, “You CAN try to look good in CANNES! Hai Na?? #TanviTheGreat #WorldPremiere”, giving fans a sneak peek into the glamorous side of the festival.
Tanvi The Great stars Karan Tacker, making his film debut after gaining popularity through television and web series (Khakee: The Bihar Chapter), alongside Bollywood veterans Boman Irani, Jackie Shroff, and Arvind Swami. The film also features Iain Glen of Game of Thrones fame in a key role.
The sound design for the film is helmed by Academy Award-winner Resul Pookutty, renowned for his work in Slumdog Millionaire.
While anticipation builds around the premiere, the official release date of Tanvi The Great is still under wraps.
