Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], June 30: The trailer of Anupam Kher’s much-awaited directorial ‘Tanvi The Great’ has finally been unveiled, introducing audiences to a heart-touching tale of courage, inclusion, and determination.
The film centers on Tanvi, a young autistic girl with an unshakable dream of joining the Indian Army. Described as “a testament to the unbreakable spirit of hope and triumph,” the film highlights how being different doesn’t make anyone less.
Speaking about the project, veteran actor-director Anupam Kher shared, “This film is my tribute to every person who is different but no less. ‘Tanvi The Great’ is one of the most important films of my career. I believe audiences in India will embrace it as warmly as global viewers already have.”
The film marks the debut of Shubhangi in the titular role and features an ensemble cast including Jackie Shroff, Arvind Swami, Boman Irani, Pallavi Joshi, Karan Tacker, Nasser, Anupam Kher, and Game of Thrones star Iain Glen.
At the trailer launch, Karan Tacker expressed gratitude for being part of the film, calling it a “privileged experience”. Recalling how Kher personally pitched the idea to him over a year ago, he said, “From the first moment sir played the film’s music, I was sold.”
The emotional impact of the trailer is amplified by a soul-stirring soundtrack composed by Oscar-winner M. M. Keeravani (RRR, Baahubali). The film is produced by Anupam Kher Studios in association with NFDC, and will be globally distributed by Excel Entertainment (Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar) and AA Films (Anil Thadani).
‘Tanvi The Great’ is scheduled to hit theatres on July 18, 2025.
