Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], May 12: Veteran actor and filmmaker Anupam Kher continues to build anticipation for his directorial venture Tanvi The Great by unveiling character posters from the film. On Sunday, Kher introduced acclaimed actor Nasser as Brigadier Rao in a new poster shared on social media.
In a heartfelt caption accompanying the reveal, Kher praised Nasser’s illustrious career, writing, “Even though #NasserSir is younger than me, it is because of his legendary film career that the ‘SIR’ comes out automatically when I refer to him. His acting graph and his list of films are an actor’s dream.”
Tanvi The Great boasts a stellar cast, including Karan Tacker, known for Khaki: The Bihar Chapter, marking his big-screen debut. Shubhangi Dutt also makes her debut in the film, while veterans Boman Irani, Jackie Shroff, and Arvind Swami play pivotal roles. In a surprising addition, Game of Thrones star Iain Glen joins the ensemble.
The film features sound design by Resul Pookutty, Oscar-winning sound designer of Slumdog Millionaire, and music by MM Keeravani, known for his Academy Award-winning score for RRR. Tanvi The Great is produced by Anupam Kher Studios in collaboration with NFDC.
The film is slated to have its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival, under the prestigious Marche du Film section. A release date is yet to be announced.
