Social media personality Anshula Kapoor, sister of actor Arjun Kapoor and daughter of producer Boney Kapoor, has finally shared official photographs from her intimate “Gor Dhana” (engagement) ceremony with screenwriter Rohan Thakkar. The low-key celebration took place on October 2, 2025, at her father Boney Kapoor’s Bandra residence, with the entire Kapoor clan in attendance.
The heartwarming photos, shared two days after the ceremony, feature Anshula and Rohan alongside her brother Arjun Kapoor, sisters Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor, and father Boney Kapoor. Cousins Sonam Kapoor, Shanaya Kapoor, Rhea Kapoor, Shikhar Pahariya, and Jahaan Kapoor were also seen celebrating with the couple. One particularly cherished picture captures an emotional moment between Anshula and her brother Arjun Kapoor, while another shows Boney Kapoor offering his blessings to the newly engaged couple.
Heartfelt Tribute to Late Mother Mona Shourie
A deeply moving part of the ceremony was Anshula’s special tribute to her late mother, Mona Shourie Kapoor. Anshula honored her mother’s memory by keeping a seat vacant next to her, complete with a framed photograph of her mother placed there. In her heartfelt caption, Anshula mentioned feeling her late mother’s presence “quietly wrapping itself around us,” stating that her love could be felt everywhere—in the flowers, the words, and the designated seat.
“Love Showing Up in Every Little Detail”
Captioning the photos, Anshula wrote, “02/10/2025 This wasn’t just our Gor Dhana, it was love showing up in every little detail.” Referencing Rohan’s favourite words, she added, “Ro’s favorite words have always been ‘Always and Forever’ – and today, they started to feel real in the sweetest way. His love makes me believe fairytales don’t just live in books, they live in moments like these.”
She concluded her note by reflecting on the atmosphere of the celebration: “A room overflowing with laughter, hugs, blessings, and the people who make our world feel full. The couple’s love story began after they met on a dating app in 2022. Rohan had proposed to Anshula earlier this year in July, during a romantic trip to Central Park, New York.
