Andaaz 2′ Review: A Clichéd And Outdated Musical Drama

Director Suneel Darshan’s new movie, “Andaaz 2,” tries to cash in on the nostalgia for the 2003 original, but reviewers say it is completely forgettable. The movie has a cast of fresh actors, including Aayush Kumar, Aakaisha, and Natasha Fernandez. It is said to lack the “main character energy” that is necessary for a good movie and fails to make people feel anything real.

The reviewer said that the movie’s biggest weakness is that it has a plot that is almost nonexistent and very clichéd. It is about a musician (Aayush Kumar) who is having a hard time and falls in love with a girl (Aakaisha Vats). Her sister (Natasha Fernandez) also wants him. The story then takes strange turns, with the sister first trying to break up the relationship and then abruptly changing her mind for a quick “happy ending.” The reviewer’s mind was so confused by the haphazard and chaotic storytelling that they wondered if the movie even existed.

The complaints also include the way the characters are shown and the way the movie was made in general. Aayush Kumar plays a singer who wants to be famous, but he barely sings once throughout the whole movie. For some reason, he gets a huge contract worth a crore. The romantic interests also act in strange ways. Aakaisha’s character would rather make out in a garage than go to school in the U.S., while Natasha Fernandez’s character kisses the main character on their first drive.

The review says that “Andaaz 2” is full of old cliches and lines that make it feel like a movie from the late 1990s. The movie doesn’t fit with modern tastes since it has bad production qualities and uses old clichés like “the daughter is another’s wealth,” fathers who don’t want their daughters to have music careers, and two women falling in love with a “jobless, penniless, and witless” man. An effort at humor when an older woman bothers a younger man for laughter also doesn’t work, which makes the movie feel even more out of date.

People say that “Andaaz 2” is a lackluster sequel that has no clear linkages to the first movie and doesn’t have many good things for a current audience.
