Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India]: In a groundbreaking moment for Indian fashion, Ananya Panday has been named the first-ever Indian brand ambassador for the iconic French luxury fashion house, Chanel.
At just 26, the Bollywood actress becomes the only Indian to represent the legendary brand founded by Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel in 1910 — marking a significant milestone in both her career and the Indian fashion landscape.
Ananya took to Instagram on Wednesday to share the big news with her fans and followers, writing:
“Beyond grateful and excited for my journey with @chanelofficial. The first-ever brand ambassador for and from India. Dreams really do come true,” she posted, along with a photo from her recent campaign.
Her collaboration with Chanel comes on the heels of her appearance at the Chanel Spring-Summer show during Paris Fashion Week last year. There, she also walked the ramp for Indian designer Rahul Mishra’s ‘Superheroes’ collection, marking her debut at the prestigious fashion event.
Ananya’s growing influence in the fashion world continues to rise, and her association with Chanel is expected to usher in a new wave of global recognition for Indian talent in luxury fashion.
On the film front, Ananya was last seen in Kesari Chapter 2, alongside Akshay Kumar and R. Madhavan. The film is set for release on April 18, 2025, as a follow-up to the hit 2019 historical drama Kesari, which portrayed the Battle of Saragarhi.
While the original starred Parineeti Chopra, Kesari Chapter 2 aims to delve deeper into the legacy of India’s freedom fighters — celebrating the relentless spirit and sacrifice that shaped the nation’s journey to independence.
