New Delhi [India], July 20: Megastar Amitabh Bachchan shared a heartfelt message on Saturday, honouring his son Abhishek Bachchan’s 25-year milestone in the Indian film industry. The veteran actor took to his personal blog to express admiration for Abhishek’s resilience and commitment to self-improvement.
“The essence of life is NEVER GIVE UP… fight till the very end… you may win, you may lose… BUT AT LEAST YOU FOUGHT,” Amitabh wrote, emphasizing the importance of persistence over outcomes. He added, “The ‘pluckiest’ loser has more respect than the so-called winner… for the pluckiest loser always shall be remembered by – ‘he fought and almost WON’.”
Celebrating Abhishek’s journey, he noted, “25 years!! That is no mean feat… comparisons with others is a weakness… the results speak more than any other ‘ness’.”
Highlighting his son’s unique path, the actor said, “You Abhishek have ever and ALWAYS compared yourself with yourself… not many can do that… And each day I learn more and more and more.”
Rejecting the idea of resting on achievements, Amitabh wrote, “They tell me you have done enough, sit back and relax… NO… sitting back is a defeat of life – you are giving up… and one should NEVER GIVE UP.”
Abhishek’s Film Journey
Abhishek Bachchan made his Bollywood debut in 2000 with Refugee, opposite Kareena Kapoor Khan and directed by J.P. Dutta. He played a nameless man helping illegal refugees cross the India-Pakistan border.
Over the past 25 years, Abhishek has featured in a variety of roles across genres, from critically acclaimed films like Guru and Yuva to commercial entertainers like Dhoom and Bunty Aur Babli.
His most recent appearance is in Housefull 5, the latest installment of the hit comedy franchise, co-starring Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri, and Sonam Bajwa. The film hit theatres on June 6, 2025.
