New Delhi, January 24: Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to engage with the public in Delhi on Saturday, January 25, as part of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) campaign for the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections. Shah will hold two public meetings and a roadshow across key constituencies in the national capital ahead of the polls, which are set to take place on February 5.
Shah’s itinerary includes addressing gatherings in Rajouri Garden and Trinagar constituencies, along with leading a roadshow in the Adarsh Nagar area. This marks his first such public engagement for the 70-member Delhi Assembly elections.
The first public meeting will be held in the afternoon at Rajouri Garden, where Shah will address local residents and party workers, focusing on key issues and the BJP’s development agenda for Delhi. Afterward, he will participate in a roadshow in Adarsh Nagar, traveling from Keval Park to Ramlila Maidan, which is expected to attract substantial public participation.
The day will conclude with a second public meeting at DDA Park in Netaji Subhash Palace, within the Trinagar constituency. This evening event will offer another opportunity for Shah to connect with Delhi voters and present the BJP’s vision for the city’s future if the party secures victory in the February 5 elections.
Delhi’s 70 Assembly constituencies, including 58 general seats and 12 reserved for Scheduled Castes (SC), will vote in a single phase on February 5, with vote counting scheduled for February 8. The current term of the Delhi Legislative Assembly ends on February 23, 2025.
