Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], March 21: In a heartfelt revelation, singer and music producer Amaal Mallik shared his personal challenges, including his battle with clinical depression and strained family relations. The 29-year-old, known for composing hits like “Kar Gayi Chull” and “Jab Tak,” took to social media to open up about his emotional struggles, later requesting privacy as he navigates this difficult period.

In his candid Instagram post, which he later deleted, Amaal spoke about the emotional toll years of professional dedication and familial discord had taken on him. “I have reached a point where I can no longer stay silent about the pain I’ve endured,” he shared, revealing how his relentless efforts to build a successful life for his family were met with criticism instead of appreciation.
Amaal also expressed his frustration with his parents, blaming them for the growing rift between him and his brother, fellow singer Armaan Malik. Despite his tireless work to support his family and shape his own identity, Amaal’s relationship with Armaan was affected by actions from their parents. “My self-worth has been diminished countless times by the actions of those closest to me,” he admitted.
The emotional strain of these family struggles played a significant role in Amaal’s ongoing battle with clinical depression. “I am clinically depressed because of these happenings,” he revealed, marking an important moment of vulnerability regarding his mental health.
In a follow-up post, Amaal urged the media to respect his privacy and avoid sensationalizing his personal issues. “Please don’t sensationalize and give negative headlines to my vulnerability,” he pleaded, emphasizing how difficult it had been to share such intimate details publicly. “It’s a very tough time for me,” he added.
Despite the challenges, Amaal assured his followers that his relationship with his brother, Armaan, remains strong. “Nothing changes between us brothers, Armaan and I are one, and nothing can come between us,” he stated, reaffirming their bond during this tough time.
Amaal Mallik made his debut as a music composer in 2014 with the track “Tere Naina” from the film Jai Ho, starring Salman Khan.
