Amaal Mallik Addresses Bigg Boss Bias Claims: Says 70% of Salman Khan’s Scolding Was Edited Out

Music composer and former Bigg Boss 19 contestant Amaal Mallik has spoken out regarding the persistent social media perception that show host Salman Khan was biased in his favor. Amaal claims that the viewers did not see the full extent of the reprimands he received.

Claims of Editing and Bias

In a recent interview with Zoom, Amaal acknowledged his family’s long-standing professional relationship with Salman Khan but clarified that this did not translate into preferential treatment on the show.

  • Family Ties: Amaal stated, “Yes, but it is true that I exist in this industry as a music composer because of Salman Khan. But it is not like he picked me up and kept me in his lap.”
  • The Scolding: He insisted that much of the scolding he received during the Weekend Ka Vaar episodes never made it to the final broadcast.“If, according to people, I got 30% scolding, then I got 70%. But then the whole episode becomes only about me… I am sorry if it did not make the cut. That is not in my hand, that is in Colors and Endemol’s hand.”

Amaal suggested that the editing focused on distributing the host’s feedback to multiple contestants, thereby reducing the time dedicated to his own criticism.

Salman Khan’s Previous Defense

The report notes that this perception of bias was widely discussed during the show, prompting Salman Khan himself to address the allegations on an episode of Bigg Boss 19.

Salman had previously defended his actions, saying, “In Amaal’s case, I’ve known him for a long time, and I’ve said things to him that I’ve never said to any contestant in Bigg Boss before… I am not bajoing (bashing), I am correcting you.”
