Renowned filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma (RGV) took to social media, speculating that the incident was strategically planned to generate publicity for Allu Arjun and his movie. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), RGV suggested that the Telangana state government’s involvement in the incident was part of a calculated move to propel Pushpa 2’s box office collections.

Details of the Incident
The incident occurred on December 4 at the Sandhya Theatre during the premiere of Pushpa 2: The Rule, where Allu Arjun arrived to a massive crowd of fans. Chaos broke out when the actor waved to the crowd from the sunroof of his vehicle, contributing to a commotion. This resulted in the tragic death of a woman named Revathi and injuries to her son. Police cited the actor’s actions as a factor in the ensuing pandemonium.
Allu Arjun’s Release and Apology
Allu Arjun was arrested on Friday morning but was granted bail by the Telangana High Court. He was released on Saturday after spending a night in jail. Speaking to the media after his release, the actor thanked his fans for their support and expressed his condolences to the family of the deceased.
“I am a law-abiding citizen and will cooperate. I would like to once again express my condolences to the family. It was an unfortunate incident. We are sorry for what happened,” Allu Arjun stated.
