Allu Arjun Visits Chikkadpally Police Station As Part Of Court Mandated Bail Conditions In Sandhya Theatre Stampede Case

January 5, 2025: Allu Arjun has complied with the legal requirements set by the Nampally Court in his bail order by visiting the Chikkadpally Police Station on Sunday. The actor’s involvement in the tragic incident during the premiere of ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ on December 4, 2024, had led to his legal troubles, following the loss of life and serious injury of a child at the Sandhya Theatre.

Allu Arjun was granted bail after appearing before the Metropolitan Criminal Court on January 4, where he submitted the necessary sureties. His bail conditions included reporting to the police station and executing a bond of Rs 50,000 with two sureties. The actor was escorted by police personnel and met with tight security when he arrived at the court. The incident, which has garnered significant media attention, occurred when the actor waved to a crowd from the sunroof of his car during the ‘Pushpa 2’ premiere, causing an unruly scene that led to the tragedy.

In the aftermath of the incident, Allu Arjun is expected to visit KIMS Hospital to meet the injured child, Sri Tej, who was hospitalized after the chaos. The child had been on a ventilator for an extended period, but reports indicate that Sri Tej began showing signs of recovery by December 24, 2024. Sri Tej’s father, Bhaskar, expressed gratitude to Allu Arjun and the Telangana government for their support during this trying time, acknowledging that the child had responded after 20 days of being on the ventilator.

The tragic incident, which involved the death of a woman named Revathi and the serious injury of her child, was explained in court by Allu Arjun’s lawyer, Ashok Reddy. Reddy confirmed that the court had granted bail to the actor on the grounds that the incident did not amount to “culpable homicide not amounting to murder.” He also clarified that the court believed there was no intent or malice behind the event, which was caused by the crowd’s uncontrollable behavior.

Further legal proceedings are still pending, with a quash petition seeking to have the case dismissed being heard by the Telangana High Court. The next hearing for the petition is scheduled for January 21, 2025.

In addition to his legal obligations, Allu Arjun and his family have offered financial assistance. Allu Aravind, the actor’s father and a prominent film producer, announced a Rs 2 crore donation to help the family of the woman who tragically lost her life during the chaos at Sandhya Theatre.

Despite the legal challenges, Allu Arjun‘s gesture of support to the victims’ families has been widely acknowledged, while the actor continues to comply with legal requirements as the case moves forward.
