Allu Arjun Calls On Fans To Express ‘Feelings Responsibly’ Amid Sandhya Theatre Tragedy Controversy

Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], December 22: Telugu superstar Allu Arjun has urged his fans to express their feelings responsibly, avoiding abusive language or behavior both online and offline. He emphasized the importance of maintaining decorum and refraining from unnecessary conflicts.

On X, Allu Arjun posted a message to his followers, saying, “I appeal to all my fans to express their feelings responsibly, as always, and not to resort to any kind of abusive language or behavior, both online and offline.” He further warned that strong action would be taken against anyone misrepresenting themselves as his fans and posting abusive content, urging his followers to avoid engaging with such posts.

The actor’s appeal comes in the wake of a tragic incident at the premiere of his film Pushpa 2: The Rule on December 4. A massive crowd gathered to see Allu Arjun, and during the event, when he waved from the sunroof of his car, a chaotic stampede ensued, resulting in the death of a woman named Revathi and injuries to a child. Following the incident, Allu Arjun was briefly arrested but was granted bail the next day after furnishing a Rs 50,000 bond.

At a recent press conference, Allu Arjun addressed the controversy surrounding the Sandhya Theatre tragedy, calling it a “very unfortunate” accident and expressing his condolences to the affected family. He added that the child who had been hospitalized was showing signs of improvement, which provided some relief.

The actor also responded to allegations against him, stating, “There is a lot of misinformation and false accusations. I don’t want to blame anyone—no department, politician, or government. This is an unfortunate incident, but I am being wrongly targeted. I deeply apologize for what happened.”

Regarding some political criticism, including from Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, who claimed that the police had denied permission for the event due to safety concerns, Allu Arjun said, “I am not blaming anyone. There’s a lot of wrong information being spread. I have been reflecting on the situation in isolation for the past 15 days, and it has been very difficult for me.”

Allu Arjun further explained that he has been avoiding public appearances since the incident, even refraining from watching his own movie in theaters. He expressed that he was deeply affected by the tragedy and was focused on offering his condolences to the victims’ families.

Earlier, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and AIMIM leader Akbaruddin Owaisi had criticized Allu Arjun’s behavior during the event, alleging that his actions caused chaos and the tragic incident. Despite the police’s safety warnings, Allu Arjun had reportedly conducted a roadshow from the sunroof of his car, which led to the stampede.

Meanwhile, Allu Arjun’s latest film Pushpa 2: The Rule, directed by Sukumar and co-starring Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil, continues to break box office records.
