Dressed in a stylish yet relaxed ensemble, the ‘Highway’ actress sported an oversized blazer, baggy blue jeans, and a white tank top, completing her chic airport look with black sunglasses. Her appearance put to rest speculation about her absence from the event, confirming her participation in one of the most celebrated film festivals in the world.
Fans have been eagerly awaiting Alia’s Cannes red carpet debut, especially following her much-lauded fashion statement at last year’s Met Gala.
The 78th edition of the Cannes Film Festival, which runs until May 24, 2025, has already seen several Indian celebrities in attendance, including Anupam Kher, Karan Johar, Kiara Advani, and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
Aishwarya Rai turned heads on the red carpet on Thursday in a striking black couture gown titled Heiress of Clam by Indian designer Gaurav Gupta. The custom-made gown was adorned with intricate hand embroidery in hues of silver, gold, charcoal, and black. Adding a cultural touch, she paired the gown with a handwoven Banarasi brocade cape inscribed with a Sanskrit shloka from the Bhagavad Gita, woven in Varanasi.
