Alexandra Daddario’s Mayfair Witches Renewed For Season 3; Salem To Set The Stage For New Twists

Washington DC [US], April 10: AMC Networks has renewed the supernatural horror series Mayfair Witches, starring Alexandra Daddario, for a third season, according to Deadline. The next chapter of the eerie drama will be filmed in Salem, Massachusetts—iconic for its ties to witchcraft lore and the infamous witch trials.

Thomas Schnauz (Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul) is set to join the series as co-showrunner alongside original co-creator Esta Spalding. The addition of Schnauz comes as part of a two-year overall deal with AMC Studios.

Shifting its setting from New Orleans—where the first two seasons unfolded—to Salem, the upcoming season promises to explore deeper layers of the series’ witchcraft mythology. Viewers can also expect the introduction of new spellbound families and a rich infusion of historical Salem elements.

“I am thrilled to welcome Tom Schnauz to our team for the third season of Mayfair Witches,” said Spalding. “A contemporary twist on the Salem story, it promises to be our most delicious yet.”

Season 3 will be executive produced by Mark Johnson, who oversees AMC’s Anne Rice Immortal Universe, alongside Spalding, Schnauz, Michelle Ashford, and Tom Williams.

Based on Anne Rice’s The Lives of the Mayfair Witches novels, the series has been praised for its moody aesthetic and compelling lead performance by Daddario.

Outside of the series, Daddario recently defended her acting skills following criticism despite receiving an Emmy nomination for The White Lotus.
“That I’m a bad actress. I’m not a bad actress,” Daddario said in response to her detractors. “I’ve just done some projects that don’t showcase me in the way that I should be showcased… Director and writing is everything—and sometimes I’m lit poorly—but I got an Emmy nomination. How do you think I did that?”

Daddario is also known for her work in Percy Jackson, Baywatch, Texas Chainsaw, and Hall Pass.
