Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], December 17: Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar, known for his philanthropic endeavors, has once again captured attention with his latest initiative to support wildlife in Ayodhya. In a recent Instagram post, Akshay shared that he, along with his team and the Anjaneya Seva Trust, successfully fed over 1,250 monkeys in the holy city.
The actor highlighted the growing monkey population in Ayodhya and the impact it has on the city’s temple areas. In the video, numerous monkeys can be seen near the temple premises, while Akshay speaks about the importance of providing them with nutritious and hygienic food daily. Through this initiative, monkeys are fed fresh food, with a special focus on cleanliness and safety.
The feeding is carried out with a van full of bananas, and Akshay paid tribute to his parents and late father-in-law Rajesh Khanna by having their names displayed on the van. The initiative also focuses on waste management, as leftover banana peels are collected and given to cows. Their dung is then used as fertilizer for banana tree plantations.
Earlier this year, Akshay Kumar had donated Rs 1 crore to feed the monkeys in Ayodhya, a gesture marking his deep connection with the city. The initiative, led by the Anjaneya Seva Trust and guided by Jagatguru Swami Raghavacharya Ji Maharaj, ensures that this effort does not inconvenience the local residents.
On the work front, Akshay Kumar recently announced the release date of his upcoming horror-comedy, Bhoot Bangla, slated for release on April 2, 2026. Fans are excited about his reunion with director Priyadarshan.
