Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], May 25: Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar was seen at the Mumbai airport on Sunday afternoon, making a stylish appearance. The Kesari actor, known for his timeless fitness and fashion sense, looked effortlessly dapper in a blue striped shirt paired with denim jeans, complemented by a pair of trendy sunglasses.
This public appearance comes shortly after the unexpected announcement that veteran actor Paresh Rawal will not be part of Hera Pheri 3. The news left fans both surprised and disappointed. Addressing the rumors, Rawal clarified on X (formerly Twitter):
“I wish to put it on record that my decision to step away from Hera Pheri 3 was not due to creative differences. I REITERATE THAT THERE ARE NO CREATIVE DISAGREEMENTS WITH THE FILMMAKER. I hold immense love, respect, and faith in Mr. Priyadarshan, the film’s director.”
The actor’s exit also came as a shock to Suniel Shetty, who played the character Shyam in the much-loved franchise. In a heartfelt statement to ANI, Shetty expressed his disappointment:
“It’s an absolute shock to me… I’m completely heartbroken because if there was one film that I was looking forward to, it was Hera Pheri. It cannot happen. 100 percent cannot happen without Paresh Rawal. It can have a 1 percent chance without me and Akshay, but it 100 percent can’t happen without Paresh ji.”
Directed by Priyadarshan, the original Hera Pheri released in 2000, featuring Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Paresh Rawal, and Tabu. Its sequel, released in 2006 and directed by the late Neeraj Vora, continued the comedic legacy with the addition of Bipasha Basu, Rajpal Yadav, and Rimi Sen.
