Mumbai, India – Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar, celebrated for his action films and disciplined lifestyle, has shared a key health tip that he follows religiously to keep diseases at bay. In a recent media interaction, the actor revealed that he consumes his dinner at 6:30 p.m. every evening, a practice he believes is fundamental to his well-being.
Known as one of India’s biggest fitness icons, Akshay explained the reasoning behind his early dinner time in a simple, relatable manner. He emphasized the importance of giving the body adequate time to rest, and he pointed out that while the eyes, legs, and hands can rest during sleep, the stomach is forced to continue working if a person eats a late meal.
“The stomach is the most important part of our body,” Akshay said. “By the time you get up, it is time for him to relax. But when we get up we eat our breakfast and again the poor stomach is working. It’s working very hard.” He explained that all diseases originate in the stomach and that keeping it healthy is the key to preventing illness.
By finishing his last meal at 6:30 p.m., Akshay gives his digestive system enough time to process the food. This ensures that by the time he goes to sleep around 9:30 or 10 p.m., his stomach is “completely ready to rest.”
The 57-year-old actor, who is known for performing most of his own stunts, also shared that he fasts every Monday as part of his wellness routine. His commitment to fitness has been an inspiration for his millions of fans.
On the film front, Akshay Kumar is currently gearing up for his next project, Jolly LLB 3, where he will be sharing the screen with Arshad Warsi.
