In a career spanning decades, Akshay Kumar has shared the screen with nearly every top female star in the Indian film industry, from Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra to Kiara Advani and Trisha Krishnan. While promoting his latest box-office success, Jolly LLB 3, the actor appeared on the popular show Aap Ki Adalat, where a fan’s question about his favorite co-star prompted a quick and heartfelt response.
Without a moment’s hesitation, Akshay named Katrina Kaif as his top choice. “Meri favourite heroine… actually maine sabhi ke saath kaam kiya hua hain (My favourite heroine… actually I have worked with everyone),” he began before pausing and adding, “Katrina [Kaif]!”
A Strong On-Screen and Off-Screen Partnership
Akshay and Katrina have a long history of successful collaborations, having worked together in eight films. Their joint filmography includes hits like Namastey London (2007), Welcome (2007), Singh Is Kinng (2008), and most recently, the blockbuster Sooryavanshi (2021).
Their professional rapport has often been praised by both actors. While promoting Sooryavanshi, Katrina spoke about Akshay’s significant role in her early career on The Kapil Sharma Show. “I would like to thank Akshay, as during my initial days he was of immense support to me as a co-star,” she said. “He used to stand in front of me every time when I used to give a shot and encourage me. His feedback helped me to improve my acting skills and I can surely say that he was one of the few actors who believed in me.”
Akshay Celebrates Jolly LLB 3 Success
The actor’s revelation comes as he celebrates the success of his latest film, Jolly LLB 3. The courtroom dramedy, which also stars Arshad Warsi, Saurabh Shukla, Amrita Rao, Huma Qureshi, Seema Biswas, and Gajraj Rao, has been well-received by audiences. Directed by Subhash Kapoor, the film marks the first time that the two “Jollies” from the franchise’s first two installments have shared the screen. Jolly LLB 3 has already crossed the ₹40 crore mark at the box office within just three days of its release, making it another hit for the prolific actor.
