Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], June 6: Love and tradition came together as actor Akhil Akkineni tied the knot with longtime girlfriend Zainab Ravdjee in a serene Telugu wedding ceremony at his family home in Hyderabad on Friday. The intimate affair was attended by close friends and family, including Ram Charan, Chiranjeevi, and Naga Chaitanya.
Superstar Nagarjuna took to X (formerly Twitter) to share a series of heartwarming pictures from the early morning wedding, held at 3:35 AM. The photos featured the newlyweds performing sacred rituals alongside proud parents Nagarjuna and Amala Akkineni.
“For the ceremony, Akhil donned a traditional white outfit, while Zainab looked radiant in an ivory saree paired with stunning diamond jewellery,” the actor captioned.
Sharing the emotional moment, Nagarjuna wrote:
“With immense joy, Amala and I are delighted to share that our dear son has married his beloved Zainab in a beautiful ceremony at our home, where our hearts belong. We watched a dream come true surrounded by love, laughter, and those dearest to us. We seek your blessings as they begin this new journey together. With love and gratitude.”
Actress Sobhita Dhulipala, now part of the Akkineni family after her wedding to Naga Chaitanya earlier this year, also welcomed Zainab into the family. Sharing a picture with the newlyweds, she wrote on Instagram:
“Welcome to the family dear Z. Congratulations to the newlyweds.”
This celebration comes six months after Akhil announced his engagement to Zainab Ravdjee, stating on Instagram: “Found my forever. Happy to announce that Zainab Ravdjee and I are happily engaged.”
Akhil and Zainab’s union marks the second joyous wedding in the Akkineni family in recent times, following Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala’s marriage last year.
