Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], July 22: The buzz around Ajay Devgn’s much-anticipated comedy ‘Son Of Sardaar 2’ just intensified as the makers unveiled the second trailer today, showcasing a chaotic rollercoaster of comedy, confusion, and cultural clashes.
The trailer opens with Jassi (Ajay Devgn) tying the knot with Neeru Bajwa’s character. But the celebration is short-lived as Jassi finds himself caught in one hilarious predicament after another. From facing a sudden divorce demand to getting entangled in a mafia family, to a series of misadventures tied to a promise made to his mother, Jassi’s life becomes a full-blown mess. “Jo har baar fase, woh hai Sardaar Jassi,” he exclaims, setting the tone for the madcap ride.
The makers captioned the trailer release with: “Latest update hai….Jassi ab officially har tarah se phas chuka hai..Duja Trailer out now..#SonOfSardaar2 in cinemas from August 1st! #SardaarIsBack #SOS2”
Directed by Vijay Kumar Arora, the film stars an ensemble cast including Ravi Kishan, Sanjay Mishra, Mrunal Thakur, Neeru Bajwa, Chunky Panday, Kubbra Sait, Deepak Dobriyal, Vindu Dara Singh, Roshni Walia, Sharat Saxena, Sahil Mehta, and the late Mukul Dev.
Originally slated to hit cinemas on July 25, the film’s release has been postponed. It will now arrive in theatres worldwide on August 1, 2025. The update was announced via a new poster featuring the tagline: “The laughter riot just got a new date.”
The first trailer had teased a Scotland-based plot where Ajay Devgn and Mrunal Thakur pose as Sikh parents to help Roshni Walia marry her true love. Trouble erupts when they meet the groom’s father—played by Ravi Kishan—an intimidating Sardaar armed with an arsenal of guns and a battalion of bodyguards.
With hilarious banter between Ajay and Ravi Kishan, Mrunal’s impressive Punjabi accent, and comic timing from Vindu Dara Singh and the late Mukul Dev, the film promises to deliver double the entertainment.
Sharing the trailer on social media, Ajay Devgn wrote: “Action! Emotions! Confusion ka bhandaar. JASSI is back, aur iss baar sab kuch double hai!”
‘Son of Sardaar 2’ is produced by Ajay Devgn and Jyoti Deshpande, and serves as a follow-up to the 2012 hit directed by Ashwani Dhir.
