Mumbai: Bollywood actors Ajay Devgn and Kajol opened a new chapter in Indian cinema by changing the name of NY Cinemas to Devgn Cinex on the auspicious day of Maha Navami. The North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja grounds at SNDT Women’s College in Juhu were the site of the launch. It drew a lot of people from Mumbai’s culture and cinematic communities.
The occasion started with traditional Durga Puja rites. Then, to music, lights, and excited cheers, the Devgn Cinex logo was revealed. NY Cinemas is changing its name and teaming up with the Vishwa Samudra Group to improve the movie-going experience by upgrading theaters, adding current digital technology, and expanding across the country.
At the launch, Ajay Devgn said:
“Durga Puja is a time to celebrate tradition, togetherness, and happiness.” In a lot of ways, movies accomplish the same thing: they bring people together through narrative. We want to offer this magic to people all over India with Devgn Cinex by using the latest technology to make sure that every emotion and scene of a movie can be fully experienced.

Modern Movies and Cultural Heritage
Devgn Cinex wants to use AI, the web, and apps, as well as consumer engagement tools and rewards programs, to make going to the movies as easy as possible. The brand will focus on tier-1 cities and metros, with a special focus on South India.

The North Bombay Durga Puja, which is a cultural event, set the stage for the launch, which showed off both legacy and new ideas. Ajay Devgn’s wife Kajol and Mrs. Sonam Shivdutt were prominent guests at the ceremony, which made it much more important.
