Bengaluru: Air India Express has announced the launch of new daily direct flights connecting Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport (BLR) and Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK). The new service, which is effective from Thursday, aims to provide convenient, non-stop connectivity for travelers from Bengaluru and surrounding areas, particularly in anticipation of the upcoming festive and holiday season.
According to a statement released by the airline, the inaugural flight from Bengaluru to Bangkok will depart daily at 11:00 am IST and arrive at 4:45 pm IST. The return flight from Bangkok will take off at 5:45 pm IST and land in Bengaluru at 8:30 pm IST.
To celebrate the launch, Air India Express is offering special introductory “Xpress Value” fares. A round trip is priced at a starting fare of ₹16,800, while one-way fares are set at ₹9,000 for the Bengaluru-Bangkok leg and ₹8,850 for the Bangkok-Bengaluru return.
Bookings for the new route are now open and can be made through the airline’s official website, mobile app, and other major booking channels.
The new Bengaluru-Bangkok service is part of Air India Express’s broader strategy to expand its international network. The airline already operates direct flights to Bangkok from Lucknow, Pune, and Surat, and also offers a route from Hyderabad to Phuket. Bengaluru serves as the airline’s largest domestic hub, with more than 440 weekly flights connecting to 30 domestic destinations and four international destinations, including Abu Dhabi, Bangkok, Dammam, and Kathmandu.
