New Delhi [India]: Actor Jaideep Ahlawat, known for his powerhouse performances in Paatal Lok and Jaane Jaan, recently reflected on his experience of working with Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan in the 2017 crime drama Raees.
In an exclusive interview with media, Jaideep described his fanboy moment on set and the “magic” of SRK’s personality.
“It’s not easy to express how I felt when I met Shah Rukh… Kuch alag hai unme. Pata nahin kya jaadu hai unme (There’s something different in him, something magical, I would say).“
The actor added that anyone who has met SRK would share the same sentiment.
“Whenever you meet him, it feels like Shah Rukh has his undivided attention on you.”
SRK’s Advice on Respecting Fans
Jaideep also shared a memorable piece of advice he received from Shah Rukh Khan about the importance of acknowledging and respecting fans.
“Shah Rukh once told me, ‘Fans haven’t done anything to get scolded. I have given them something on screen because of which they are doing all this. If anyone is at fault, it’s me. If I had not done all this, they wouldn’t have come to me, stood outside my house, taken my photos, or tried to shake my hand.’”
Jaideep Ahlawat’s Journey & Raees Experience
Jaideep played a pivotal role in Raees, sharing screen space with Shah Rukh Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Mahira Khan. The film, directed by Rahul Dholakia, saw SRK portray the titular role of a bootlegger, with Nawazuddin as a tough cop hunting him down.
Jaideep Ahlawat, who has since gained widespread acclaim for his intense performances in Paatal Lok and Jaane Jaan, looks back at Raees as a special milestone in his career.
SRK’s legacy of humility and charisma continues to leave a lasting impression on those who work with him, and Ahlawat’s anecdotes are yet another testament to King Khan’s enduring charm.
