Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], April 22: Ananya Panday’s brother, Ahaan Panday, is all set to make his much-anticipated Bollywood debut with the romantic drama Saiyaar, directed by Aashiqui 2 filmmaker Mohit Suri. The film is slated for a theatrical release on July 18, 2025.
Produced under the Yash Raj Films (YRF) banner, Saiyaara marks several firsts — it’s YRF’s maiden collaboration with Mohit Suri and also the debut production venture of the company’s CEO, Akshaye Widhani. The film will feature newcomer Aneet Padda as the female lead opposite Ahaan.
Announcing the release date, YRF shared on social media:
“Yash Raj Films’ romantic film SAIYAARA, which introduces Ahaan Panday in the Hindi film industry & also stars Aneet Padda as the female lead, is set to release on July 18, 2025, in theatres worldwide. Presented by Aditya Chopra, Directed by Mohit Suri & Produced by Akshaye Widhani, SAIYAARA is an intense love story that brings YRF and Mohit Suri together for the first time!”
Buzz around Ahaan’s entry into Bollywood had been building since last year, when YRF dubbed him their “Next Big Hero” on their website. The aspiring actor reportedly trained for over six years under the mentorship of Aditya Chopra at the YRF talent division before landing this debut.
A trade source revealed that Ahaan underwent multiple auditions and screen tests under Mohit Suri’s guidance. “Mohit wanted a fresh, young boy with star charisma, and Ahaan impressed him with his commitment and performance,” the source noted.
Before stepping into the limelight, Ahaan Panday gained behind-the-scenes experience by working as an Assistant Director on projects like Mardaani 2 and Netflix’s The Railway Men.
With a seasoned director, a major production house, and two fresh faces, Saiyaara promises to be one of the most anticipated romantic films of 2025.
