Ahaan Panday has finally addressed the ongoing buzz around his undeniable chemistry with Saiyaara co-star Aneet Padda. In a recent conversation with GQ magazine, the young actor clarified that while fans may be rooting for them to be a couple in real life, their connection is anchored in a deep, meaningful friendship — not romance.
Ahaan on His Bond With Aneet
When asked directly whether the two were dating, Ahaan firmly dismissed the speculation.
“Aneet is my best friend. The whole internet thinks we’re together, but we’re not,” he said. “Chemistry isn’t always romantic; it’s about comfort, safety, and being seen. We’ve both made each other feel that. Even though she’s not my girlfriend, I’ll never have a bond like I have with Aneet.”
Ahaan also opened up about the emotional path they walked together while making Saiyaara. Interestingly, they connected long before the film’s shoot through a shared love for a Paulo Coelho quote: ‘It’s the possibility of a dream coming true that makes life interesting.’
“Before Saiyaara, we both loved this quote. We dreamed this together, and it came true. What we’ve shared is so special,” he revealed. Despite their closeness, Ahaan stressed that he is currently single and that his love language is “acts of service and grand gestures.”
