Bollywood filmmaker Aditya Dhar is earning praise not just for the massive success of Dhurandhar: The Revenge, but also for his clever handling of dialogues. Actor Suvinder Vicky recently shared how the director ensured that even abusive words in the film passed smoothly through the censor board without getting muted.
In an interaction with Mirchi Plus, Suvinder Vicky, who plays the father of Arjun Rampal’s character, admitted that he was initially uncomfortable using certain abusive words in his scenes. He questioned whether such language was necessary for portraying his role as a powerful antagonist’s father.
However, Aditya Dhar reassured him by explaining that every word in the script had been carefully chosen. According to Vicky, Dhar emphasized that he had only included those expressions that would not be flagged or censored. Drawing from his experience with the censor board, the director had a clear understanding of what would pass without requiring audio beeps.
Impressed by this approach, Vicky praised Dhar’s deep research and practical knowledge of film certification guidelines. The actor noted that despite the strong language, not a single dialogue in the film required censor cuts, which reflects the filmmaker’s strategic writing.
Meanwhile, Dhurandhar: The Revenge continues its remarkable box office run. Featuring Ranveer Singh in the lead along with Sanjay Dutt, Rakesh Bedi, and Sara Arjun, the action thriller has received strong audience response. The film has reportedly crossed ₹1000 crore worldwide and is still performing steadily in theatres.
