Adani Airport Holdings Terminates Partnership With Chinese Company DragonPass

New Delhi [India]: In a swift reversal, Adani Airport Holdings on Thursday announced the immediate termination of its newly formed partnership with Chinese company DragonPass, just a week after it was established. The partnership, facilitated through Adani Digital Labs (ADL), had aimed to enhance airport lounge and travel services at Adani-managed airports across India.

“Our association with DragonPass, which provided access to airport lounges, has been terminated with immediate effect. DragonPass customers will no longer have access to lounges at Adani-managed airports. This change will have no impact on the airport lounge and travel experience for other customers,” an Adani spokesperson said in a statement.

While no official reason was cited, the decision comes amid ongoing scrutiny of Chinese partnerships in critical infrastructure sectors, especially those with potential data access or national security implications.

DragonPass, a China-based global airport services platform, offers travel-related privileges such as airport lounge access, dining offers, and other services across international airports.

The now-cancelled partnership was intended to integrate DragonPass benefits through Adani Digital Labs, the innovation arm of the Adani Group. ADL has been actively working to digitize and personalize travel experiences across India’s busiest airports, including those in Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, and more.

About Adani Digital Labs (ADL):

As the digital extension of Adani Airports Holdings Ltd. (AAHL) and Adani Enterprises Ltd., ADL is a strategic platform driving innovation in passenger journeys. It is designed to streamline operations, introduce cashless ecosystems, and implement tech-driven conveniences aligned with Adani Group’s customer-centric and nation-building vision.

In a separate announcement, Adani Power confirmed it had secured a contract to supply 1500 MW of thermal power to Uttar Pradesh through a competitive bidding process.

The electricity will be sourced from a new greenfield ultra-supercritical power plant (2×800 MW), to be built under the Design, Build, Finance, Own, and Operate (DBFOO) model. The agreed tariff is ₹5.383 per unit — touted as highly competitive for a project of this scale.
