New Delhi [India]: The Adani Foundation, in partnership with the Gujarat Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, has launched a large-scale initiative to support more than 7,000 Divyang (specially-abled) individuals across Gujarat. The announcement coincided with the International Day of Persons with Disabilities and was celebrated at Gujarat National Law University.

- Since 2014, the Swavlamban initiative has aimed to uplift Divyang individuals, particularly in the Kutch region, including Mundra, Khawda, and Lakhpat talukas.
- The program provides skill training, education, essential tools, and resources for self-employment and job placements.
- Expanded Reach:
- The latest collaboration with the Gujarat government targets empowering 7,055 individuals through tailored interventions such as:
- Skill development and vocational training
- Entrepreneurship support and job placements

- The Divyang Employment Fair 2023 held in Mundra was a milestone under this initiative, connecting over 250 participants with 22 companies.

- To date, more than 2,000 Divyang individuals have benefited from the Swavlamban initiative.
