Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], April 2: The bail application of actor Tarun Raju will be heard today in the CCH 64th court, following his arrest by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) for alleged involvement in a gold smuggling case.
Advocate Bipin Hegde will represent the Telugu actor, while Advocate Madhu Rao is appearing as DRI’s legal counsel. The third accused, Sahil Jain, is also set to be produced before the Economic Offences Court today after being in judicial custody.
Ranya Rao’s Bail Plea Moved to High Court
Meanwhile, actress Ranya Rao, another accused in the case, has approached the Karnataka High Court for bail after her plea was rejected by the 64th CCH Sessions Court in Bengaluru on March 27.
Her lawyer, BS Girish, submitted the petition, which will be taken up by the High Court next week.
