Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala), April 18– Following growing concern over actor Shriram Natarajan’s health after a viral Instagram reel, his family has issued an official statement confirming he is under expert medical care and has temporarily stepped away from social media.
Shriram, best known for his performances in ‘Maanagaram’, ‘Irugapatru’, and various short films, appeared visibly distressed in recent social media videos, prompting an outpouring of worry from fans and colleagues.
In a statement released on Friday, the actor’s family said:
“We would like to inform all well-wishers, friends, and members of the media that actor Shriram is under expert medical care and is currently taking some time off from social media following his doctor’s advice.”
The family emphasized the need for privacy and discretion, urging media and the public to avoid speculation:
“We kindly request everyone to respect his need for privacy as he focuses on his recovery and well-being. Please refrain from spreading unverified information or assumptions about his health.”
They also firmly disavowed statements made by others:
“We do not endorse any views expressed by certain individuals in interviews and deny the same completely.”
The statement concluded with a note of gratitude:
“We thank you for your continued love, support, and understanding during this time!”
