Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], July 3: Actor Parag Tyagi is mourning the loss of his wife, Shefali Jariwala, fondly remembered for her iconic appearance in the song Kaanta Laga. Days after Shefali’s untimely passing, Parag shared an emotional tribute on Instagram, remembering her as “sab ki maa” who always put others first.
In his heartfelt note, Parag called Shefali his “Pari” and praised her for being “fire wrapped in grace — sharp, focused, and fiercely driven.” He described her as a woman who lived with intention, nurturing every aspect of her life with strength and determination. Beyond her achievements, he said Shefali embodied selfless love, bringing comfort and warmth to everyone around her.
“In the chaos of grief, it’s easy to be swept away by noise and speculation. But Shefali deserves to be remembered by her light, by the joy she sparked, and by the lives she lifted,” he wrote. Parag urged everyone to remember Shefali with love, sharing memories that would keep her spirit alive.
Shefali passed away on June 27 at the age of 42 after reportedly suffering a cardiac arrest. She was rushed to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital, where she was declared dead on arrival. Her body was sent for a post-mortem, with the cause of death listed as ‘reserved’ by the Mumbai Police.
A prayer meet was held in Mumbai on July 2, attended by family and close friends, who gathered to honor her memory.
