Varinder Ghuman, a well-known actor and professional bodybuilder, died on Thursday in Amritsar, Punjab, at the age of 42. Ghuman, who was renowned as the “vegetarian bodybuilder,” is said to have had a heart attack when he was getting treatment at a private hospital.
Death’s Cause and Circumstances
According to media, which got the information from his family, Varinder Ghuman died of a heart attack.
Ghuman, who lived in Jalandhar but was from Gurdaspur, went to a private hospital in Amritsar for treatment after his shoulder hurt.
Time of Death: His nephew, Amanjot Singh Ghuman, told reporters in Jalandhar that he died of a heart attack at the hospital in the evening.
Work and Accomplishments
The 6-foot-2-inch bodybuilder had a long career that included awards in bodybuilding around the world and appearances in both Bollywood and Punjabi movies.
Ghuman was very interested in fitness; he owned a gym in Jalandhar and had a large following on social media, having 1 million followers on Instagram, where he often posted videos of himself working out. He had also said before that he wanted to run for the Punjab Assembly in 2027.
Political Leaders Send Their Condolences
Several politicians sent their condolences after hearing about Ghuman’s death. They praised his dedication and hard work:
Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu (BJP) said that Ghuman was the “pride of Punjab” and that his death was a “irreparable loss.” He also said that Ghuman’s hard work and vegetarian lifestyle “will always be a source of inspiration for the youth.”
Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, a Congress MP, praised Ghuman’s “hard work, discipline, and talent,” saying he “brought glory to Punjab.”
Shiromani Akali Dal Chief Sukhbir Singh Badal said he was heartbroken and called Ghuman “an inspiration for our youth” since he “achieved great heights in his life.”
