PRAYAGRAJ: A crew member of the upcoming film Pati, Patni aur Woh 2, starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan, was allegedly assaulted by local residents in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. The incident prompted police to register a First Information Report (FIR) and arrest the main accused.
According to Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (City) Abhijeet Kumar, the assault took place on August 27 on Thornhill Road during the film’s shooting schedule. Zoheb Solapurwala, the production head of B.R. Chopra Films, was allegedly attacked by some local residents.
A complaint was filed by the film’s line producer, Saurabh Tiwari, at the Civil Lines Police Station on August 28. Following the complaint, an FIR was registered, and the main accused, identified as Meraj Ali, was arrested.
The production team of Pati, Patni aur Woh 2 has not issued a public statement regarding the incident. The film is a sequel to the 2019 comedy of the same name and is currently in production.
