Leading appliance companies have announced new MRPs for air conditioners and dishwashers, which means that consumers will be able to save a lot of money on these items. This is because the GST rate has gone down from 28% to 18%. The increased prices will go into effect on Monday, September 22, shortly before the holiday season.
Companies in the industry, such as Voltas, Daikin, Godrej Appliances, Panasonic, Haier, and LG, have offered discounts of ₹3,000 to ₹12,000 on some AC models. Prices for dishwashers have also gone down by up to ₹8,000, which makes them easier for people in cities to buy.
Some businesses had already started to pre-book units at lower costs because they thought there would be a lot of demand after the tax cut. Companies predict sales to soar by double digits this week because of the Navratra celebrations.
Main Price Cuts:
Godrej Appliances: The price of cassette and tower ACs went down by ₹8,550–₹12,450, and the price of inverter split ACs went down by ₹3,200–₹5,900.
Haier: The price of the Gravity (1.6 ton inverter) AC has dropped by ₹3,905 to ₹46,085. The price of the Kinouchi AI (1.5 ton 4-star) AC has dropped by ₹3,202 to ₹37,788.
Voltas: The price of a fixed-speed window AC has dropped from ₹42,990 to ₹39,590, and the price of an inverter window AC has dropped from ₹46,990 to ₹43,290.
Daikin: The price of a 1.5-ton 5-star inverter split AC has gone down from ₹73,800 to ₹68,020. The price of a 1.8-ton 5-star inverter split AC has gone down from ₹92,200 to ₹84,980.
LG Electronics: The price of the 1.5-ton inverter split AC has dropped by ₹3,600 to ₹42,390. The price of the 2-ton split AC has dropped by ₹4,400 to ₹55,490.
Panasonic India: The price of a 1.5-ton window AC has dropped from ₹45,650 to ₹42,000. The price of a 2-ton split AC has dropped from ₹69,400 to ₹63,900.
Price Drops on Dishwashers:
BSH Home Appliances: The entry-level model is now ₹45,000 (down from ₹49,000), while the top-of-the-line model is now ₹96,500 (down from ₹8,000).
Voltas Beko: The price of the entry-level dishwasher has dropped from ₹25,990 to ₹23,390.
Experts in the field say that the GST benefit will not only enhance sales but also bring in new customers for high-end appliances like dishwashers.
