New Delhi [India], January 10: Durgesh Pathak, AAP’s candidate for the Rajinder Nagar assembly seat, accused the BJP of resorting to unethical tactics as it faces a potential defeat in the upcoming elections. Pathak alleged that the BJP is creating fake votes and distributing money to manipulate the election process.
“With the elections turning against them, BJP is resorting to unethical behavior. BJP workers are filing petitions to get thousands of votes deleted, and Rs 1,100 is being distributed to people at their homes. Fake votes are being created. We have reported all this to the Election Commission,” said Pathak.
Earlier, AAP MP Sanjay Singh also launched a scathing attack on the BJP, accusing the party of large-scale corruption and vote-buying. Singh referred to BJP leaders as the “Galli Galoch Party,” alleging that they were distributing Rs 1,100 to voters in an attempt to buy support. He claimed that the BJP had instructed its leaders to distribute only Rs 1,100 despite being allocated Rs 10,000 for the purpose.
Singh challenged the BJP to clarify whether they had distributed money to their leaders for vote-buying, urging the public to demand accountability. “Let the public know the truth… I ask the ‘Galli-Galoch’ party to tell the truth before the people,” he said.
In a separate development, AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal accused the BJP of orchestrating a large-scale vote fraud in the New Delhi Assembly constituency. He claimed that the local election officer had “surrendered to the BJP” and was aiding fraudulent activities, including a high number of fake vote cancellation applications.
“The local election officer in New Delhi has surrendered to the BJP and is facilitating their wrongdoings. The Election Commission has assured us that they will take strict action, but we believe the DEO and ERO should be suspended,” Kejriwal stated.
Kejriwal also raised concerns about 5,500 fake vote cancellation applications filed between December 15 and January 7, claiming that many of the people listed in the applications denied submitting them. He warned of a larger scam in the process.
