AAP Leaders Confident Of Victory, Dismiss Exit Poll Predictions Ahead Of Delhi Assembly Results

New Delhi [India], February 6: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Saurabh Bharadwaj dismissed the predictions of exit polls, emphasizing that their relevance lasts only a day, and the actual results will prove that Arvind Kejriwal will be re-elected as the Chief Minister of an AAP-led government in Delhi.

“If the BJP is happy with the exit polls, they should form their government based on those results – they can appoint their CM and ministers. These exit polls have a shelf life of just one day. The real results will show that Arvind Kejriwal will be the CM and AAP will form the government,” Bharadwaj said.

He further criticized the Election Commission and other constitutional institutions, accusing them of being under government influence. “These institutions now operate more like departments of the BJP. This has weakened our democratic foundation,” he added.

AAP MP Malvinder Singh Kang expressed confidence that the people of Delhi would choose AAP based on the party’s work over the past decade under Arvind Kejriwal’s leadership. “From the very beginning, we contested these elections based on Arvind Kejriwal’s 10 years of work. On the other hand, BJP resorted to divisive tactics and misused state machinery like Delhi Police and the Election Commission,” Kang said.

“False cases were filed against AAP members, yet the people of Delhi will choose AAP. We are confident that when the results are declared on February 8, Arvind Kejriwal will be re-elected as the CM of Delhi,” he added.

The exit polls conducted after the completion of voting in the Delhi assembly elections on Wednesday offered varying predictions. One exit poll suggested the BJP could secure between 51 and 60 out of the 70 seats, while two others predicted a victory for AAP.

According to the P-MARQ exit poll, BJP is projected to win 39-49 seats, AAP is expected to win 21-31 seats, and Congress is likely to secure 0-1 seat. Matrize’s exit poll predicted a closer contest, with BJP likely to win 35-40 seats and AAP 32-37 seats. WeePreside’s exit poll, however, indicated AAP could win 46-52 seats, with BJP securing 18-23 seats.

The final results will be declared on February 8. AAP has enjoyed a dominant performance in the previous two Delhi assembly elections.
