Patna: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Saturday released its third list of 28 candidates for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections, stepping up preparations for the high-stakes contest.
The list includes Shashi Bhushan Tiwari from Lauriya, Arjun Kumar Sinha from Bettiah, Gaysaudin Samaini from Sugauli, Ranjan Kumar from Samastipur, and several others.
Earlier, AAP had announced its second list of 48 candidates, featuring Prem Prapt Singh (Chapra), Rajendra Prasad Singh (Lalganj), Aditya Lal (Purnia), and Inderjeet Jyotikar (Hathua). The party’s first list included 11 candidates.
Meanwhile, the CPI(ML), part of the Mahagathbandhan alliance, also released a list of 20 candidates on Saturday.
In parallel, Janata Dal (United) (JD(U)) issued its second list of 44 candidates on October 16, highlighting a mix of experienced leaders, sitting MLAs, and new faces to balance governance experience with fresh energy. Notable names on the JD(U) list include Dhirendra Pratap Singh (Rinku Singh) from Valmikinagar, Leshi Singh (Dhamdaha), Jayant Raj (Amarpur), Mahabali Singh (Karakat), and Sumit Kumar Singh (Chakai). Other prominent candidates include Samridh Verma (Sikta), Shweta Gupta (Sheohar), Pankaj Mishra (Runnisaidpur), Sudhanshu Shekhar (Harlakhi), Meena Kamat (Babubarhi), among others.
Bihar will go to the polls in two phases on November 6 and 11, with results scheduled for November 14. The last date for filing nominations for the first phase was October 17.
