Delhi Elections 2025: AAP And BJP Intensify Attacks As Campaigning Heats Up

With just a few days left for the Delhi Assembly elections on February 5, the political battle between the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has intensified. Both parties are making strong claims and accusations against each other, as the capital gears up for a highly anticipated electoral showdown.

Manish Sisodia Slams BJP, Calls It ‘Party of Abuses and Fights’

AAP candidate from Jangpura, Manish Sisodia, took aim at the BJP, accusing the party of indulging in “abusive politics” and creating unnecessary conflicts.

“BJP is only doing abusive politics in Delhi and is increasing fights… On the other hand, Kejriwal is working for Delhi.”

He further asserted that the public is very happy with AAP’s governance under Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and wants to re-elect the party for another term.

AAP Minister Gopal Rai: ‘BJP Will Halt Development Work’

Delhi Minister Gopal Rai, who is contesting from the Babarpur constituency, echoed Sisodia’s sentiment. He exuded confidence that AAP would return to power, warning voters that a BJP victory would stall development projects in the city.

“If people want a working government, they should press the broom button. Otherwise, BJP will come and stop all work, making life more difficult for the public.”

Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Dhami: ‘AAP Drowning in Corruption’

Meanwhile, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, while campaigning for BJP candidate Rekha Gupta from Shalimar Bagh, launched a scathing attack on AAP, accusing the party of being deeply involved in corruption.

“AAP came to power by using Congress’s corruption as a ladder. But now, they have surpassed Congress in corruption.”

He also criticized AAP for failing to implement Ayushman Bharat—a healthcare scheme that provides free treatment up to ₹5 lakh.

“In Uttarakhand, we have provided Ayushman Bharat cards to 58 lakh people. In Delhi, I found out that the Kejriwal government has not even implemented the scheme.”

Delhi Set for High-Stakes Battle on February 5

With AAP, BJP, and Congress locked in a fierce three-way contest, the upcoming election will determine whether Arvind Kejriwal will retain his position or if BJP can break AAP’s dominance in Delhi.
